MAXIMiPhone - Software Instructions (Windows)

PRE-REQUISITE

• Fully charge your iPhone before commencing unlock
• Set AutoLock to NEVER  (Settings / General / Autolock / Never) 

• You need to have iTunes from 7.3 or 7.4 on your Windows machine
• Connect your iPhone to its USB cradle
• Put in the the NON ATT SIM Card (Use a pin to eject the SIM card holder)

Step 1:
Download the following files from our website:

Step 2:

• Extract the FIRST zip files so that you have the folder called “SimFree.app” somewhere you can easily remember. << Desktop is always a convenient place.

• Extract the SECOND wiNstaller.zip file to your computer to created a FOLDER name "Winstaller"
  

• CTRL-ALT-DEL and quit iTunes and iTunes Helper processes.
• Run the file  "wiNstallerGUI.exe" located inside.
  

{You may be alerted with an error message. You need to have Windows .NET Framework v2.0. on your PC in order to install successfully, otherwise you get an install failure}

If you face this problem (install failure), locate the file dotnetfx.exe from microsoft.com, Search term  “.NET Framework 2.0 (redistributable)”. Update Windows to install the missing .NET framework.

Step 3:

• On running "wiNstallerGUI.exe", you will launch an application panel with 6 action buttons and a activity console.
• Click "Install Application" and when prompted, select the folder location that you extracted and saved "SimFree.app”
• This process may take between 10-15 minutes depending on your Internet download speed. It downloads a 91.2M firmware file.  Watch the console for ongoing  activities. Application copies files and transfers them to your iPhone.  

Step 4:

• Wait for the install to finish, restart your iPhone.
• Slide to unlock phone display
• Set Autolock to NEVER
• Set up your WiFi connection for your iPhone (launch safari and go to a regular website to confirm your Wifi is working)
• You are now ready to unlock your phone.
  
• REGISTER Your IMEI with us, if you havent done so, send email with your Payment Reference, Serial # and IMEI to activate@maximiphone.com
• If you have received our confirmation and are sure your IMEI is registered, then tap on the SimFree icon on your iPhone.

Step 5:

• Follow the prompts and when the red apple appears, on the full screen of phone, tapon it, one last time.

Step 6:

• Let the app do its thing and if all goes to plan, your iPhone should now be unlocked!
